Avantasia updates: Jon Oliva in, artwork out!

Another musician participating in new Avantasia has just been announced. This time he is no one less important than JON OLIVA, the man behind legendary American progressive band SAVATAGE, his solo band JON OLIVA’S PAIN and last but not least TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA, a highly successful project especially in the North America. According to Tobias Sammet, Jon will appear in one song only – “Death Is Just A Feeling”, a song that allegedly could be “a perfect chapter in a horror musical”. I guess Jon’s fans can easily imagine it!
In addition to the guest musician, the artwork of both “The Wicked Symphony” and “Angel of Babylon” discs has also been revealed. Its author is Thomas Ewerhard, the man who is also responsible among others for Edguy’s “Hellfire Club” and Avantasia’s last album “The Scarecrow”.
New Avantasia double disc will be available in regular edition, one box deluxe edition and 2LP editions on April 3. Any of them can be already pre-ordered at Nuclear Blast Online Shop.
