Their song “Ein kleines bisschen horror schaut“ was used as a Clockword orange movie soundtrack. This movie was based on the book written by Anthony Burgess. In 1993 a German theatre version of the book in which Die Toten Hosen performed as actors and musicans was released. More than 60 000 fans came to see the band in the Düsseldorfer Rheinstadium in 1997. This preformance was unfortunatelly accompanied by an accident where a Dutch girl died in the crowd. It leaded to decision to play soft songs until the end to avoid more injures.

Later the song “Alles ist eins“ was released in memoriam for the Dutch girl. Die Toten Hosen have collaborated with a number of famous musicians such as ACDC, U2, Rolling Stones and are one of the few German punkbands popular also outside the Germany (South America, Australia, easten Europe). Now Die Toten Hosen are back with their new Cd “La Hermandad“ which icludes 19 new songs.

As a small greeting from them you’ll find some impressions from the Magical Mystery appearance at 4.11. in Buenos Aires. Die Toten Hosen were playing on an impromptu addition of balconies of tattoo studios, “American House” in the district of Santa Fe, Argentina Capital. A few thousand fans showed up and turned the street into a gigantic spontaneous open-air festival.

On Friday, November 27, the new album “Machmalauter: Die Toten Hosen Live!” will be released and for the first time in the band history it will be a double live CD (29 songs for the price of one album).

There is also a double vinyl album: limited to 3,000 pieces, numbered and autographed by the band!

This song is about being immortal. “Unsterblich” (Immortal) is a ballad by Die Toten Hosen. It’s the second single and the tenth track from the album Unsterblich.
It is a love song, in which the narrator sings, how he feels like he were immortal, when he’s with his beloved.

The CD-ROM track consists of the video of the single, a making-of film and fotos.

The music video was directed by Peter Lindbergh. The video consists only of the camera holding on Campino’s face, as he sings.

The band’s name literally means “The Dead Pants” (i.e. trousers) in English, although the phrase “tote Hose” is a German expression meaning “nothing going on” or “boring”. Their name is figuratively best translated as “The Deadbeats”.
