In a virtually sold out Manchester Arena (that’s nearly 20,000 people) Rammstein are in pulverising form, the crowd are going crazy, the atmosphere is electric and the firebombs launching from the stage are like World War Three on apocalypse LSD.
The music was perfectly executed and more sophisticated than is often credited, with haunting choral effects and nimble keyboard parts lending variety to the jackboot marching rhythms and metal guitar sounds. A wall of fire ignited across the front of the stage during Waidmann and geysers of CO2 erupted around the musicians during Keine Lust.
